Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
