Now hiring: tile setter (Missouri)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tile setter in Saint Charles County, Missouri. On a typical shift you will screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling; fit tile spacers to keep the grout joints even; level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system; fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims; set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • A good eye for level, plumb and even grout lines Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
