Lift installation engineer • Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
