Retail butcher — Butler County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Butler County, Iowa. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter 5+ years on the tools preferred.
