Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Clarendon County, South Carolina. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day You will laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts.
