Great opportunity: offshore rigger (North Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Scotland County, North Carolina. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 2+ years on the tools preferred.
