Now hiring: we are hiring a glass fitter in Pender County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a glazier or glass fitter • Able to cut glass accurately to size You will fit panes into timber, aluminium and uPVC frames; seal joints with a silicone gun and tool off a neat bead; fit double-glazed sealed units into frames; grind and polish cut edges to take off the sharp arris; handle large panes using suction cups and a lifting frame; clean the finished glass and peel off the protective film. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
