Great opportunity: foundry worker (Maryland)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Garrett County, Maryland. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 3+ years on the tools preferred.
