Long-haul driver — Vermilion County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Vermilion County, Illinois. The job is in a refrigerated transport fleet. The role involves: • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery What we are looking for: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
