Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Quitman County, Georgia. Your main tasks: • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings 2+ years on the tools preferred. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
