Great opportunity: sand plant operator (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Wolfe County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 4+ years on the tools preferred.
