Sand plant operator — Rimin Gado

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Rimin Gado, Kano State. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
