Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Riverside County, California. The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer $21 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
