We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
