Tailor machinist — Kusilvak Census Area

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
