Vacancy available: we are hiring a chiller technician in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns Your main tasks: • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Clean condenser and evaporator coils We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits.
