Gas service engineer • Appanoose County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Appanoose County, Iowa. You will work in customers' homes and kitchens. Day-to-day duties: • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points Ideal candidate: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
