Stainless steel welder wanted in Socorro County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Socorro County, New Mexico. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 3+ years on the tools preferred.
