The role involves shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding 2+ years on the tools preferred.
