Production welder — Saratoga County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Saratoga County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Your main tasks: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Full-time, day shift. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
