Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Le Sueur County, Minnesota. You will be based on a busy housing site. Your main tasks: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
