Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in Piatt County, Illinois. You will work at a power plant. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
