Canteen cook • Chowan County, North Carolina

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a canteen cook in Chowan County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will prepare the mise en place before each service; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha. You should have: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
