Steel fixer wanted in Sangamon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Sangamon County, Illinois. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level The role involves: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
