Vacancy available: shuttering carpenter (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will be based on a residential tower site. You should have: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules You will cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. £2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Share your details and we will call you back.
