Safety officer — Naugatuck Valley Planning Region

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Your main tasks: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date Six days a week, one day off.
