We are recruiting: GTAW welder (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Winnebago County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. You will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
