We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Glasgow City, Scotland. Day to day you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around £2,150 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
