Sheet metal press operator — Shropshire

Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Shropshire, England. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Record output and downtime on the production sheet Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer £2,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
