Vacancy available: we are hiring a site safety steward in Grant County, Nebraska. Day to day you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites We offer $16 per hour plus benefits.
