Great opportunity: sample machinist (Mississippi)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Pike County, Mississippi. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. On the job you will handle: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Part-time with flexible hours.
