Lifting rigger • Livingston County, Michigan

Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Livingston County, Michigan. You will be based at a container port. You will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
