Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Eaton County, Michigan. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
