Tig welder wanted in Lawrence County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Lawrence County, Illinois. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job.
