Pipe lagger — City of Manassas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe lagger in City of Manassas, Virginia. You will be based at a busy building site. Day to day you will fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters; apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling; spray polyurethane foam onto walls and roof decks to the specified thickness; prep, clean and prime substrates before membrane application; seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Proven experience in thermal insulation and waterproofing At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
