Spray painter (automotive) — Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region

Great opportunity: we are hiring a spray painter (automotive) in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in an automotive paint and panel workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to read and match factory paint codes • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing On a typical shift you will apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; strip clean the spray guns and change the booth filters; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $8,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
