Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Elk County, Kansas. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through You will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
