Immediate opening: we are hiring a head baker in Gilmer County, West Virginia. The job is at a busy bakery. You should have: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • 2+ years' experience as a baker Day to day you will prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand. Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
