Great opportunity: gtaw welder (Maine)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Lincoln County, Maine. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
