Foundry operative wanted in New Castle County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in New Castle County, Delaware. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
