Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Ellis County, Texas. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. On the job you will handle: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
