MIG/MAG welder • Knowsley, England

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Knowsley, England. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Part-time with flexible hours.
