Health and safety supervisor — Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Monroe County, Michigan. You will work in a chemical processing unit. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations The role involves take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS). Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $28 per hour plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
