Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Mingo County, West Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Give each garment a final press before packing • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
