What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On a typical shift you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
