Fabricator-welder • Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. Day-to-day duties: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
