Aluminium TIG welder • Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. You will work on a structural steel site. The role involves: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard 2+ years on the tools preferred.
