Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Fayette County, Ohio. On a typical shift you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
