We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The job is at a land-clearing site. The role involves strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes Rotating shifts.
