Requirements: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade Day-to-day duties: • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets Rotating shifts.
